Carolyn Sunday, 80, of Logansport, passed away on March 18, 2026. She was born July 26, 1945, in Logansport, Indiana, to Charles and Mabel Sanders.
Carolyn was a proud graduate of Logansport High School and went on to retire from Federal-Mogul after many years of dedicated service. She married David L. Sunday on June 5, 1966, and they spent fifty years together.
She was a faithful Christian woman whose life reflected kindness, compassion, and quiet strength. Carolyn had a deep love for her family, especially spending time with the children, and she found great joy in caring for others. She would do anything for anyone, always putting others before herself. Known for her gentle spirit, she was a wonderful listener who offered thoughtful advice and steady support to those around her. She also dearly loved her sweet dog, Cindy Lou.
Carolyn will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her nieces and nephews, William “Bill” (Vonnie) Sanders of Kokomo and Tammy Conrad; as well as many beloved great-nieces and nephews, great-great-nieces and nephews, and great-great-great-nieces and nephews:

Great-great-nieces and nephews include Savannah Sanders of Logansport; Gage William Sanders, Garrett Sanders, Liam Spencer Sanders, Chase Patrick Sanders, Colton Lee Sanders, and Conner Steven Sanders, all of Lewisville, PA; Taylor Hayden of Logansport; Jarrett Hayden of Delphi; Dustin and Renee McCloy of Peru; and Lynden Youngblood of Peru.
Great-great-great-nieces and nephews include Ava Rose Armstrong, Alivia Armstrong, Amira Armstrong, and Ashton Armstrong, all of Kewanna, and Esma Renee Story of Peru.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; and her brother, William Sanders, Sr.
Visitation will be held Monday, March 23, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Gundrum Funeral Home.
A celebration of Carolyn’s life will be held Tuesday, March 24, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., with Rev. Bruce Vernon officiating. Burial at Mount Hope Cemetery will follow.
